چکیده
A 5GHz, 56dB voltage gain Low Noise Amplifier with built-in tunable center frequency and 30MHz bandwidth channel selection filter was implemented using 0.18μm CMOS process. Using compact high quality-factor 3-dimensional solenoid on-chip inductors, the LNA drains 0.9mA current from the 1.5V power supply and has 6.5dB noise figure. The power consumption can be further reduced if a smaller gain is desirable.

A CMOS quadrature down-converter for a direct-conversion receiver of 5.15-5.825GHz wireless LAN is described. The down-converter consists of two sub-harmonic mixers, for I and Q channels, and an LO generation network. In order to prevent the low-frequency component generated by the even-order distortion of the transconductance stage from being leaked to the mixer output, transconductance and sw...

This paper describes the implementation of the image rejection mixer block in the 5GHz frequency band using 0.18μm CMOS technology. The image rejection mixer block adopts the double-quadrature topology for high image-rejection ratio in the high frequency applications and is designed for the dual-conversion receiver. The loss of the polyphase filter in the signal path can be reduced with simple ...
